Native to New Zealand, Mānuka honey is often referred to as a superfood both which can be both consumed and used externally.
Used for centuries, Mānuka honey is produced by honey bees which eat our native Mānuka tree. There is a rating scale unique to this dark, rich honey called Unique Mānuka Factor (UMF) and as this particularly type of honey is not created equally, this scale refers to what type of quality you are buying.
